Q: Is it safe to connect my bank?

Yes. US and Canadian users connect via Plaid, the same bank-connection layer used by Robinhood and Venmo. UK users connect via Yapily, an FCA-regulated open-banking provider. Both are read-only — we see incoming royalty deposits but cannot move money, and we never see or store your bank login details.

Q: How does it know which payments are royalties?

Known payers such as PRS, ASCAP, PPL, BMI, AWAL and DistroKid are matched directly, and a classifier flags less obvious sub-publishers and indie distributors. You can confirm or dismiss anything we flag, and unrecognised credits are surfaced for you to review manually.

Both are read-only — we see incoming royalty deposits but can't move a penny, and your bank credentials never touch our servers.

What happens to my data?

Your transactions are encrypted in transit and at rest. We don't sell, share, or train AI models on your data. You can delete everything from settings or by emailing support@royaltiapp.com — full erasure, no questions asked.
